Permanent magnet jacks are increasingly used in lifting and handling operations, and their high safety and energy-saving advantages are favored by users. Although permanent magnet jacks have extremely high safety performance, when using jacks, we should also note that the following may cause unsafe accidents and affect the service life of permanent magnet jacks.
1. When lifting and handling permanent magnet cranes, it is strictly forbidden to exceed people or important equipment; do prevention work before problems occur, and safety cannot be ignored. So far, there is no permanent magnet lifting equipment that can guarantee 100% safety.
2. It is strictly forbidden to lift high-temperature steel plates (≥60℃): too high temperature will cause irreversible demagnetization of the electromagnetic steel, affecting the suction force and service life of the permanent magnet jack;
3. Make the suction surface as large as possible as the bottom surface of the permanent magnet jack; the suction area is related to the suction air. Within a certain range, the larger the suction area, the heavier the lifting weight, which can ensure greater safety.
4. When using permanent magnet jacks, iron filings, and small magnetic particles will inevitably stain the surface of the magnetic pole. Therefore, before lifting, the poles of the absorbed steel plate and the jack must be cleaned. Try to make sure the suction surface is clean and smooth. The thickness of the surface anti-rust layer and the amount of iron filings in the powder layer will seriously affect the magnetic attraction.
5. Increase the thickness of the suction surface as much as possible; the thickness of the suction surface will affect the greater tension of the permanent magnet jack;
6. When not in use, the permanent magnet jack should be installed on the magnetic-conducting plate or in the demagnetization position, that is, the sharp corners of the red triangle (square) indicator are facing downwards, and prevent misoperation of the bracket from being placed vertically.
7. When transporting long and long materials, the permanent magnet jack should be placed at the center of gravity of the sucked object to prevent the sucked object from overturning and sliding down.
8. When the weight of the object being sucked is close to its bearing capacity or large and thin steel plate, the suction time should be extended for several seconds to facilitate absorption and firmness;
9. Over time, the capacity of the permanent magnet jack will drop slightly. Check the greater absorption capacity every six months to prevent the absorbed material from falling off when lifting it.
10. After several years of use, if the weight absorption capacity is significantly reduced and the weight absorption capacity drops to two-thirds of the rated weight absorption capacity, it should be sent to the manufacturer for repair or replacement of the magnet.
11. It is strictly forbidden to run without load, and it is strictly forbidden to run without a load of permanent magnet jacks without magnetic objects, otherwise it will damage the transmission mechanism.
